If you know me well,  you probably know that my musical tastes run from the Allman Brothers to Orthodox chant.  That being the case, one of my all-time favorite artists is Serbian artist Divna Ljubojevic.  Recently, I stumbled across a real gem on Youtube…A full-length concert, professionally recorded, of Divna and Melodi.  The name “Divna” translates into English as the word “Beautiful”…And her interpretations of Orthodox Liturgy are certainly that.

I hope you all enjoy the beautiful sounds!

If you would like to learn more about Divna and Melodi, please check out their website here.

In other news…Look for me to post teaching series on the liturgical calendar, baptism, and Holy Communion in the near future.  I’ve been busy writing and teaching these over the past several months.  Coming soon!

Peace…

Lee

“In that we have beheld the Resurrection of Christ, let us worship the holy Lord Jesus,
the only sinless one.

Thy Cross do we adore, O Christ,
and Thy holy Resurrection we praise and glorify.

For Thou art our God,
and we know none other beside Thee;
we call upon Thy name.

O come, all ye faithful,
let us adore Christ’s holy Resurrection,
for, lo!
through the Cross is joy come into all the world.

Ever blessing the Lord,
let us sing His Resurrection,
for in that He endured the Cross for us,
He hath destroyed death by death.”
