Adoration of the Magi

In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (The sign of the cross should be made in remembrance of your baptism)

O Morning Star, Splendor of Light Eternal and Sun of Righteousness, come and enlighten those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death.  Amen.

The Magnificat

“My soul magnifies the Lord,
     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
 for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
    For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
 for he who is mighty has done great things for me,
    and holy is his name.
 And his mercy is for those who fear him
    from generation to generation.
 He has shown strength with his arm;
    he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
 he has brought down the mighty from their thrones
    and exalted those of humble estate;
 he has filled the hungry with good things,
    and the rich he has sent away empty.
 He has helped his servant Israel,
    in remembrance of his mercy,
 as he spoke to our fathers,
    to Abraham and to his offspring forever.”

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,the power, and the glory,

For ever and ever.  Amen.

Personal Prayers and Petitions

Silence

Almighty God, give us grace to cast off the works of darkness,  and put on the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life, in which Your Son Jesus Christ came to us in great humility; that on the last day, when He shall come again in His glorious majesty to judge the living and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal, through Him who is alive and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen.

Our God, we praise you for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to be a light to lead us in our dark world.  As we journey through our lives, let us keep focus, following His beacon toward the great promise of safety, healing, forgiveness of sins, love, and communion with our Great and Good Father, for all of eternity.   Lord, be pleased to deliver us.  O God, make haste to help us.   Come quickly, Lord Jesus.  Amen.
